Institute of Event planning, Catering and Hospitality Management (IEPCHM) offers a Recognition Scheme for Degrees in Event Management, Catering and Hospitality Management. This industry backed recognition lasts for a period of five years, or until the course undergoes major changes or revalidation, and allows access to the IEPCHM network and resources.Events, Catering and Hospitality

That is why we helped create the Functional Map, which shows you what you need to know and do at every stage of your career to represent best practice in the industry.
- Networking: Membership of Institute of Event planning, Catering and Hospitality Management (IEPCHM) is a great way to network with like-minded professionals. We have a strong social community in our facebook group and open access through whatapp.
- Partnerships with Professional Bodies: IEPCHM Governing Council has already recognised the value of working in partnership with a range of other professional bodies and is engaging with other organisations in the development of education, training and professional qualifications.
Categories of Membership
- Associate Member (AIEPCHM): This is the first level of graded membership that confers designatory letters upon an individual. You must have a minimum of Degree/HND with 1-3 years of work experience to apply.
- Full Member (MIEPCHM) : This is the second level of graded membership that confers designatory letters upon an individual. You must have a minimum of Degree/HND with 4 years of work experience to apply.
- Senior Member (SIEPCHM) : This is the Third level of graded membership that confers designatory letters upon an individual. You must have a minimum of Degree/HND with 6 years of work experience to apply.
- Fellow (FIEPCHM) : This is the fourth level of graded membership that confers designatory letters upon an individual. You must have a minimum of Degree/HND with 8 years of work experience to apply.
- Research Fellow (RFIEPCHM) : This is the fifth level of graded membership that confers designatory letters upon an individual. You must have a minimum of M.Sc with 10 years of work experience to apply.
- Doctoral Fellow (DFIEPCHM) : This is the sixth level of graded membership that confers designatory letters upon an individual. You must have a minimum of M.Sc with 12 years of work experience to apply.
- Distinguished Fellow Plus Doctorate Degree (Honoris Causa) (Dr. DFIEPCHM) : This is the seventh and final level of graded membership that confers designatory letters upon an individual. You must have a minimum of M.Sc with 15 years of work experience to apply. Honorary PhD is issued by the Institute.
- Coporate Member: Applicants must be business corporations, development agencies, non for profit organizations, academic institutions and bilateral organizations operating in the Nigeria.
